Road Legal Buggies

There's just something about racing around with the wind running through your hair, and road legal buggies are the perfect vehicle for doing this. Typically these grown up go-carts seat two people side by side and resemble a car without a body. Because there isn't a body, you get a roll bar for protection in case of an accident.

There are a number of manufacturers that build road buggies, but two come to mind as being the leaders in this field. Quadzilla and PGO both currently build road legal buggies.

Quadzilla manufacture two road legal buggies; the RL500E and the RL300E. Both feature automatic transmissions, rear shaft drive and liquid cooled engines. If the weather takes a turn, you will be happy to note that both also come with a canopy overhead.

PGO also makes road legal buggies, including the PGO Bugxter 200E, the Bugrider R 250E and the Bugracer BR 500i. The two smaller models are very similar in configuration except for the 50cc difference in engine displacement. Both feature automatic transmission with reverse and dual arm suspension for a smooth ride. The largest PGO road legal buggy, the Bugracer BR 500i, features a Piaggio engine and a 19 litre fuel tank, ready for long trips.

Road legal buggies are a fun vehicle for cruising the streets or an economical way to get around on a daily basis for those that already have a full driver's license.
