The industry manufacturers generally recommend that 50cc engines are suitable for children aged 12 years and under, 70cc for children over 12 years and 90cc plus for 16 year olds and over. However, remember that these vehicles are dangerous if not properly handled and young children may not have the strength necessary to control a motorised vehicle.

Children should be properly supervised and be equipped with protective clothing including boots, gloves and a helmet.
